About Us
The Surrey Tutor Group was established in 2022 by an individual tutor, Katherine Louise Lelliott, who is also a UK qualified primary school teacher and has taught in two London primary schools for ten years. Katherine received her degree in Sociology at The University of Nottingham before embarking on a Postgraduate Certificate in Education.
Katherine is an experienced private tutor and has been recognised in many circles as the ‘go to’ person to provide quality education. Katherine has a wealth of private tuition experience, an innate devotion and belief that learning should be inspiring and tailored for each child. She has utilised her curriculum knowledge from her pedagogical understanding of the Early Years Curriculum, to her in depth knowledge of the 11+ exams, to design and implement tuition programmes that will achieve academic excellence.
The Surrey Tutor Group offers individualised private tuition to children aged 3-11 in Maths, English, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning throughout Surrey and South West London; to enable pupils to transform their minds and broaden their visions.
While we offer in person private tuition, online tuition is also available for students around the world. No matter where your child is, we can help them succeed.

Becoming a personal tutor has been the most rewarding experience. I have found it fulfilling having such an impact on children’s academic ability and their emotional wellbeing. I love meeting and working closely with new families, engaging with their children and establishing how I can help every child achieve their full potential.
Throughout my childhood, I was fortunate to attend both state and independent schools, mixed and single sex. I have first-hand experience of the challenges faced by young people; not only with regards to the academic side of schooling but also socially and emotionally. This is where my passion to cater for the ‘whole child’ comes into play.
Having recently become a mother to my three month old son Freddie, this further motivated me to build a tutoring network of exceptional educators that would provide more pupils with access to quality tuition and a personalised programme tailored to their requirements. Our network of tutors will strive to build your child’s confidence, fostering self belief and setting the foundations for a future of academic success.
It is a privilege to be working with so many young people. The children will always remain at the very heart of what we do.
